Second favorite - hot-dog wrapped in bacon.
But in the end, everything is good, wrapped in bacon over the fire.

It's amazing how fast these new 400x CF cards are

This is actual speed of download of photos from the card to the laptop using the internal CF card reader.

By the end of the 16GB, it averages to about 70MB/s ... which is about 8 times faster than typical CF cards and USB card readers.

I could literally run Windows of one of these cards... with no HDD in the laptop at all.

Normally I don't twitt, and even less on my blog, but this is huge...

It was posted from my cell, about 15 minutes after I came out of anesthesia. It looked quite ok to me... and I was just glad the darn photo posted OK. I can't quite remember doing all that though ...I just remeber fighting with the keyboard on the phone's screen.

Now, 4 days later, I feel a lot better. I mean a lot better. My back hurts, but then they drilled a hole in my back and worked with video cameras for an hour inside there. I don't even have stitches on my back - they glued it shut.

I can stand up straight, and there is no pain in either leg - for the most part.

When the pain comes, Valium and Percocet work wonders... but also knock me out like anesthesia (or a lot of Vodka... I guess ;). Can't do that unless Wendy is here to take care of Lucas.

The jury is still out. I will find out how well everything worked when my surgery pain is gone and I will be pain free - forever - well... so we hope.

ps. For those still unclear, the 2x4 jokes were about the piece of wood stuck somewhere in such way that it was making me walk as if I had a back ache. ;) ... 2by4 removed, no more walking like a 75 year old.

Despite that Robert brought to my attention that he could not see the files added... I know the system works.

I understand that are some of you that want access to it - please text/email me the email address you want me to add ... you'll receive an automatic email with simple instruction on how to install the program and log in into sync.live.com.

So text/email me with your email address that you want to log-on (don't post it publicly on websites - like this one - unless you want spam). It will work with any email address (even though it's a Microsoft service). It will be easier to log in if it's a Microsoft email though (hotmail, msn, live.com etc).

And for those who already use it... Sync, unlike Mesh, does not use an online space. The data does not live on a internet location at the same with our computers. If you put data in the folder and nobody else is online, and you shut off/stand-by your laptop, when others log-in, they won't be able to sync your data to their computers.

My main computer is on at all times, acting as a server, but you have to leave your laptop on long enough (Cami), for my computer to get your files, and then be able to give them to others after you shut-off your laptop.

On the sync.live.com website, you can see how many files have been sync-ed. Like this:

An awesome trip to Goblin Valley and the amazing Canyonlands NP.

A work trip to the Maze District in Canyonlands NP allowed me to take my brother to a couple of the most amazing places in central/eastern Utah.

We got to see the Canyonlands National Park and Goblin Valley State Park. It was amazing... as of now... these are the national parks I visited in order of preference:

I could barely keep him awake for the bottle feeding... we got done, had a
little burp, looked at me with his big, black eyes... then he slowly closed them and
5 seconds later he was asleep. I just couldn't give him to Wendy to put him

This is the first trip in which I tried to get enough video and photo stuff, to actually make it a memory... for me and whoever else that cares. The trip had a side purpose. The movie was it.

My goal would be to create such clips for most trips and events in life (I will try keep those who don't want to be in my photos and videos out of it).

Photos are great but if I can combine them with videos, it will make for a much better remembering many years from now.

It was a fun short trip to Moab with my brother, Dragos. The amazing part is that it was snowing at home, and 4 hours away, at the same time, it was a chilly 55F and sunny. The snow caught up with us the next day, so we didn't make it to the planned Canyonlands National Park. Regardless, we had a blast.

And yes... the trip took place several months ago (mid February 2010).

It’s awesome. I created a folder that’s shared between my computers and Wendy’s. If I want her to get a document from me (Word Doc, Excel, photos, videos)… I don’t have to email it, I don’t have to move it or copy it through the network… just drop it on my desktop and in 10 seconds it appears on Wendy’s desktop. If either one of us modifies the file (let’s say it’s a W1ord Document), the other will have the updated version as soon as we hit Save on the computer modifying it.

This is what I like about technology - it always changes and most of the time it improves. Like my cellphone or my photo camera, or my video camera, my car or my power awning on my trailer.
The coolest things about upgrades and updates on the internet products, especially Google stuff, is that unlike the devices I use every day, ... software updates do not cost, nor do I have to figure out what to do with the old device once I get a new one (like my Tilt 2 windows mobile cellphone.)...
- anyone interested in an AT&T Fuze windows mobile smart phone... ;) ...?

Yes, I hear its hard to switch from XP to Vista or from Vista to Windows 7 ... but is it really? Like my old phone, the new one still has 10 digits and a Call button to dial the call.

Just a few YOUTUBE video links - I filmed about an hour total, with my small underwater photo-camera on a gorilla pod tripod - it's jerky but we had a blast... camping and ATV-ing in my favorite place on earth - St George - sadly we didn't make it to my "most" favorite place - Zion National Park - but I know it won't be too long until I go there again.

Back to this weekend's trip - it was awesome. The weather was quite OK (it rained last night and this morning a little), - and it snowed on the way there, on Thursday, but out-there was perfect for the outdoors (sunny and 65F). As Robert said, we would not get bored soon exploring all that area.

The new trailer finally passed its true test, and it worked great, both for us and for Wendy's parents - the air-mattress was a "variable Sleep Number", starting at 100 and ending at 80 in the morning, ;), but I just could not figure a solution for the temperature problem - mom wants 75F and dad wants 65F in the same bed, at the same time... I am sorry!!!!

I know I will be doing this again (the ATV/Camping part) as soon as possible - I have already asked ... Honey, what's on the schedule for the next weekend ... how about the next one. Well, it might be a little while until the next trip (baby due soon, flight exam, school midterm - oh... yeah... and work), but we'll be out soon.

I received a small complaint about not adding anything on my blog for a while... it was a small small ... small complaint though. But here we go.

We got to go camping soon... really soon. I am suffering from withdrawals. Good thing is that we're going the beginning of March - I hope it will be great weather in St George - otherwise I'll have to ride my new ATV in mud and snow - it'll be fun anyway.

Christmas is already fun for all of us (But I can't wait for tomorrow morning).

Totally awesome and amazing. ... well... a thousand words can't describe the most amazing movie experience - Avatar in IMAX 3D (so just one word won't work at all). Just go and see it - at least in 3D if not in IMAX.

As I understand, the first spelling of "Gotti", was chosen by web research (Google) ... and it was wrong.
I stand corrected - goatee "seems" to be the way to spell it, at least this year.

My mother is here. It's great. We are having fun and we plan on enjoying all the parties. This Friday looks like we're going to scream GO JAZZ in Energy Solutions arena, this Saturday is Halloween, next week (if weather permits) we'll be hitting Goblin Valley, Natural Bridges, Mexican Hat, Monument Valley, Grand Canyon - south, Hoover Dam, Las Vegas, St George, Snow Canyon, Zions Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and then back home... all in 5 days of towing the little trailer behind the truck and dring in the morning from one site to the other. It's going to be cold.

Maybe we'll make it to California too...

Then there will be our Aniversary, Thanksgiving and my birthday.

A FULL MONTH. ...and if I can also make time to go flight training, it'd be great.
